Houston Weather Forecast Storm Risk

HOUSTON, Texas – The National Weather Service has issued a slight risk of strong storms for counties southwest of Houston, including El Campo, Bay City, and Edna. The storms are expected mainly this evening and overnight.

Throughout the day on Thursday, temperatures will remain warm, reaching the mid to upper 80s. Isolated showers and storms are also possible until Friday and Saturday, though they are not anticipated to be widespread.

A cold front is moving through the region, which will help lower humidity levels and provide more comfortable temperatures as May progresses. Early forecasts suggest the possibility of morning temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s for Mother’s Day.

Looking ahead, high temperatures in the 90s are predicted for much of next week. As such, residents are encouraged to enjoy the upcoming cool Sunday morning before the heat sets in.

The National Weather Service continues to monitor conditions and will provide updates as necessary.
