Indian Railways Announces RPF Recruitment 2024 for 4,660 Constable and SI Positions
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has initiated the recruitment process for Sub-Inspectors and Constables within the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) with a total of 4,660 vacancies to be filled.
The application window for these positions opened today and will remain active until May 14. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website of the RPF.
In this recruitment campaign, the vacancies are divided into 4,208 positions for Constables and 452 for Sub-Inspectors within the RRB.
For Sub-Inspectors, the minimum age requirement is 20 years and the maximum is 28 years, while Constable applicants must be aged between 18 and 28 years.
Sub-Inspector candidates must possess a graduation degree from a recognized university, whereas Constable applicants should have passed the 10th standard or an equivalent examination from a government-recognized board.
The application process involves visiting the RRB’s official website, registering, logging in, uploading necessary documents, paying the applicable fee, and submitting the application form.
General category candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500, with a refund of Rs 400 after appearing in the Computer-Based Test (CBT), subject to deduction for bank charges.
Special categories like SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Female, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) applicants need to pay a reduced fee of Rs 250, which will also be refunded post-CBT, deducting bank charges.
The selection process comprises a CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV). Candidates must clear each stage to progress to the next.
Sub-Inspectors who are selected can anticipate an initial pay of Rs 35,400, while Constables will receive an initial payment of Rs 21,700 upon selection.
