Israel Bombs Iranian Oil Infrastructure Amid Ongoing Conflict

TEHRAN, Iran – Israel dramatically escalated its military campaign against Iran by bombing key oil fields and gas refineries on Saturday, destroying over 150 targets amid ongoing tensions.
The Israeli airstrikes targeted locations like the South Pars gas field in Bushehr province and the Asalouieh refinery, significant sources of revenue for Tehran.
According to Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the airstrikes were a response to recent attacks on civilians in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. The IDF confirmed that their campaign was aimed at crippling Iran’s ability to launch retaliatory attacks.
“The road to Tehran is open,” said IDF spokesman Effie Defrin, highlighting the air force’s capabilities in executing the extensive strikes that involved over 70 fighter jets.
Israeli forces destroyed missile launchers and command infrastructure, demonstrating a tactical shift that moves beyond previous focus on nuclear facilities.
“Dozens of aircraft are now operating freely over Tehran; this marks the deepest range we’ve ever reached in Iran,” Defrin added.
Israel’s military actions have provoked a barrage of missiles from Iran targeting Israeli cities, resulting in casualties on both sides. Reports indicate at least three Israelis killed and numerous injuries from Iranian missile strikes.
In backlash to the airstrikes, Iran’s foreign minister announced that the country would not partake in ongoing negotiations with the U.S. concerning its nuclear program, stating that continuing talks amidst Israeli aggression was “unjustifiable.”
“Iran has given a decisive response to the Zionist regime’s aggressions to protect its national sovereignty,” asserted Iranian officials, hinting at further escalations if attacked.
This military campaign represents a significant development in the ongoing conflict and may have long-lasting implications for regional stability.
