Recent tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated after Iran launched a series of drone, cruise missile, and ballistic missile attacks towards Israel. The high alert status in Israel led to the closure of schools as a precautionary measure. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed readiness for any defensive or offensive actions.

Iran named its offensive as ‘Operation True Promise,’ claiming it was retaliation for Israel’s past offenses. The conflict marks another chapter in the long-standing enmity between the two countries since 1979.

Iran possesses a significant arsenal of missiles, including Sejjil, Khorramshahr-4, Shahab 3, and more. On the other hand, Israel boasts a robust defense system, including the Arrow, David Sling, Patriot C-Dome, and Iron Dome, capable of intercepting and neutralizing various aerial threats.

The potential military engagement between Israel and Iran raises concerns worldwide. Iran’s extensive manpower, comprising over 41 million fit-for-service individuals, outnumbers Israel significantly in this aspect. Nevertheless, Israel boasts a credible reserve personnel, underlining its preparedness for prolonged conflicts.

While Iran outmatches Israel in tank numbers and land vehicles, Israel’s defense budget surpasses Iran’s significantly. The defense expenditure, foreign reserves, and advanced defense systems like the Iron Dome contribute to Israel’s military resilience.
