Jasmine Crockett Claims Donors Favor ‘Safest White Boy’ for 2028 Election

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) stirred conversation during a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s “Urban View,” where she addressed the Democratic Party‘s potential strategy for the 2028 presidential election. She expressed concern that party donors are focusing on a “safest white boy” candidate, reflecting fears about electing women after past losses.
Crockett’s comments came during a town hall discussion last Friday, where she noted that many within the party are hesitant to support female candidates. “It is this fear that the people within the party will have about voting for a woman because every time we voted for a woman, we’ve lost, so far,” she stated.
While she did not name the candidate in question, Crockett said donors are already lining up behind one specific individual. “I’m telling you, it’s not a Black person nor a woman,” she clarified, emphasizing the party’s inclination towards a traditional candidate.
The congresswoman discussed how these same donors had their opinions about Joe Biden and suggested they might be influencing the next nomination as well. She criticized former President Trump, calling attention to his disrespectful behavior and stating, “He is not running for a third term.”
The full town hall recording is set to be released on May 15. Meanwhile, speculation continues regarding potential candidates for the Democratic Party, with names like California Governor Gavin Newsom and former Vice President Kamala Harris being considered.
