JEECUP UP Polytechnic Result 2024 Declared: Important Updates and Changes in Admission Policy
The Joint Entrance Examination Council of Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has officially released the results for the entrance exam conducted for admission to Polytechnic Institutes across the state. Candidates can check their results on the official website www.jeecup.nic.in. The admissions process for government and private Polytechnic Colleges in UP took place from June 13 to June 20, 2024.
The results have been prepared based on the final answer key released by JEECUP. The Council had issued the provisional answer key on June 21, allowing students to challenge it until June 23. Every year, the UP Polytechnic Institutes conduct the JEECUP entrance exam for admissions into Diploma courses.
This year, over 207 exam centers were set up across the state with more than 3.7 lakh applicants. The examination centers also included government Polytechnic Institutes. There were 207 invigilators appointed for the 207 exam centers.
Candidates can access their results by visiting the official website and clicking on the result link. They need to enter their login credentials to view their results, which will be displayed on the screen. After checking the results, candidates can download the scorecard and keep a printout for future reference.
One notable change in the admission policy this year is that candidates scoring zero marks in the Polytechnic entrance exam will not be eligible for admission. In the past, every candidate participating in the entrance exam was granted admission. However, for the new academic year 2024-25, changes have been made to enhance the quality of Polytechnic education in the state.
The main counseling will be conducted in three phases, with special counseling taking place from the fourth phase onwards. This restructuring aims to streamline the admission process and ensure that only deserving candidates secure seats in the Polytechnic Institutes.
