Jen Psaki White House Press Secretary Interview

Washington, D.C. — In a recent interview, Jen Psaki, former White House Press Secretary under President Joe Biden, expressed her concerns about labeling media coverage leading up to his presidency as a “cover-up.” In a conversation with Semafor staffers Max Tani and Ben Smith, Psaki reflected on her experiences and the narratives surrounding Biden’s readiness for office.

During the interview, Psaki stated, “I obviously have complicated feelings about that. ‘Cover up’ is such a loaded phrase.” She elaborated on her emotional response, recalling a debate moment when Biden appeared to choke while speaking live. “This is a disaster; I never saw him have those kinds of issues beforehand,” she explained.

Psaki’s remarks come amid discussions about new books chronicling Biden’s presidency and the surrounding media landscape. As public opinion remains divided, she urged caution in using inflammatory terms that can distort the truth of the situation.

In a separate development, on May 3, legendary investor Warren Buffet announced he will step down as the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway by the end of the year. This decision, made during the company’s annual shareholder meeting, paves the way for vice chairman Gregory Abel to take over. Buffet stated he would remain available for consultations but emphasized that Abel will have the “final word” on company decisions.

Adding to the political landscape, comedian Bill Maher addressed former President Donald Trump‘s dismissal of economic concerns during his recent monologue on HBO’s “Real Time.” Reflecting on the upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebrations, Maher jokingly remarked on the irony of Trump’s policies adversely impacting children, quipping, “Let’s make Christmas worse for children.”
