Jessica Camacho Joins CBS Comedy ‘DMV’ Alongside Notable Guest Stars
LOS ANGELES, CA — Actress Jessica Camacho has joined the recurring cast of CBS‘s new comedy series, “DMV,” which premiered on October 13, 2025. The show is a single-camera comedy inspired by author Katherine Heiny‘s short story, depicting the often frustrating experiences at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The series features a talented ensemble cast including Harriet Dyer, Tim Meadows, Tony Cavalero, Molly Kearney, Alex Tarrant, and Gigi Zumbado. Camacho, known for her roles in “Countdown” and “All Rise,” will portray Surfer Mary, a confident and carefree character who becomes a love interest for Noa (played by Tarrant) during a driving test.
In addition to Camacho, several guest stars have been announced, including Leslie Jones, Chelsea Frei, and former WNBA player Renee Montgomery. Jones will play Sally, the energetic executive assistant to the California DMV Director. Her character is introduced during a road trip to a DMV holiday party in Sacramento.
The show aims to provide a humorous take on the drudgery faced by DMV employees, who often contend with frustrated customers even before they arrive. Camacho’s character is expected to add a comedic twist to the storyline.
New episodes of “DMV” air Mondays at 8:30 p.m. ET. The show has already received a full season order, including 20 episodes, highlighting CBS’s confidence in the series’ reception.
Executive producers include Dana Klein, Matt Kuhn, and Aaron Kaplan, with Trent O’Donnell directing the pilot episode.
