Kamala Harris to Host Star-Studded Rally and Concert in Philadelphia on Election Eve
Vice President Kamala Harris is set to conclude her 2024 presidential campaign with a high-profile rally and concert in Philadelphia on the eve of Election Day. The event, titled “Get Out The Vote,” will take place on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a iconic location known for its “Rocky Steps.”
The rally, scheduled to run from 5 to 10 p.m. on Monday, November 4, will feature a star-studded lineup of performers and speakers. Lady Gaga, The Roots, Ricky Martin, DJ Cassidy, Freeway and Just Blaze, Jazmine Sullivan, Adam Blackstone, Oprah Winfrey, Fat Joe, and DJ Jazzy Jeff are among those expected to take the stage.
Before the Philadelphia event, Harris will campaign in other parts of Pennsylvania, including Allentown and Pittsburgh. In Allentown, she will speak around 2 p.m., and in Pittsburgh, she will hold a rally and concert featuring Katy Perry around 6 p.m.
Road closures in Philadelphia have been in effect since Friday and will continue through Tuesday to accommodate the event. The entire width of the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, from 18th Street to Eakins Oval, as well as several adjacent streets, will be closed. Other affected areas include Kelly Drive, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, and various intersections along the Parkway.
Security will be tight, with federal law enforcement and Philadelphia police conducting sweeps around the rally venue to ensure safety. Thousands of people are expected to attend, and gates will open to the general public around 4 p.m.
This event is part of a broader campaign push in Pennsylvania, a critical battleground state in the 2024 presidential election. Former President Donald Trump will also be campaigning in Pennsylvania on Monday, holding rallies in Reading and Pittsburgh before heading to Michigan.
