Kansas City to Host Hallmark Holiday Special with Popular Stars
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Kansas City is preparing for a festive season as it will star in a new Hallmark Channel special featuring Brad Paisley and Mickey Guyton.
The show, titled “A Hometown Holiday Christmas Special,” will be filmed from November 28 to 30 at Crown Center Square during the Hallmark Christmas Experience. This event includes recorded performances by the popular country artists and captures the holiday spirit in the city.
Filming will take place all weekend, with cameras on site for the Mayor’s Christmas Tree lighting. Paisley has already recorded his performance at the Grand Ole Opry, adding to the excitement.
The special will debut on Saturday, December 6, at 9 p.m. on the Hallmark Channel and will be available to stream the next day on Hallmark Plus. Other familiar faces in the show include actors Benjamin Ayers and Tyler Hynes, known for their roles in “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.”
This holiday special aligns with the return of the Hallmark Christmas Experience, which opens on November 28. Fans can immerse themselves in a Hallmark movie setting, and a Holiday Hallmarket is also part of the experience, offering unique shopping opportunities.
Visitors can see the 100-foot-tall Mayor’s Christmas Tree in Crown Center Square and enjoy light shows every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night at 6 p.m. Additionally, seating for the “Home Sweet Hallmark Movie-Thon” at the Hallmark Visitors Center is free on a first-come, first-served basis. The holiday festivities promise light walks, festive photo opportunities, and chances to meet beloved Hallmark stars.
