Kayvon Thibodeaux Cooking Pasta

NEW YORK, N.Y. — New York Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux showcased his culinary talents in a recent episode of The Post’s series “My Passion – presented by Tri-State Cadillac.” The 24-year-old athlete prepared a spicy Calabrian spaghetti dish with Wagyu beef meatballs, sharing his cooking journey with host Brandon London, a former Giants player.

Thibodeaux, who grew up in South Central Los Angeles, described pasta as a staple in his childhood home. “Growing up, pasta was really near and dear to my heart,” he told London. His mother, Shawnta Loice, frequently cooked pasta for the family, making it a significant part of his upbringing.

Now, as a professional football player, Thibodeaux aims to combine his love for food with his fitness goals. He noted, “Getting big is a main part of football.” His mother continues to inspire him in the kitchen, serving as both a cheerleader and a critic as he experiments with flavors.

Thibodeaux’s cooking journey began in college, primarily with a deep fryer, but he has recently shifted focus to healthier dining options. The introduction of Wagyu beef into his recipes marks a significant culinary upgrade from his college staples like tater tots and chicken tenders.

The episode features Thibodeaux cooking the recipe and even inviting the camera crew to taste his dishes. “I’m Italian, and I’ll give you the Italian approval,” said Post producer Juliana Turdo after trying the meal. Fans can keep up with Thibodeaux’s cooking adventures on his TikTok series.
