Kelly Ripa and Daughter Cause NFL Game Woes for Mark Consuelos

TAMPA, Fla. — Kelly Ripa and her daughter Lola recently stirred up some NFL game day controversy. On the October 13 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, Ripa shared how their home visit nearly derailed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ success. “Our daughter is home visiting us. We’re so happy. There’s so much life in the house when she’s in the house,” Ripa said.
The incident occurred during the Buccaneers’ game against the San Francisco 49ers on October 12. Ripa explained that while she and Lola entered the room where Mark Consuelos was watching the game, something went awry. Although she could not recall what exactly happened, she claimed that Mark suggested they were “bad luck.”
The Buccaneers, Mark’s favorite team, won the game 30-19, but Ripa playfully mentioned, “Somebody said it, that we were bad luck, when we walked into the room.” Afterward, she jokingly decided to exit, stating, “Don’t tempt me with a good time. I don’t mind leaving and not watching this game.”
Mark Consuelos stated, “everything was great” once they left the room. “So basically, I controlled the game,” Ripa joked, and Mark agreed with a laugh.
Lola, 24, is the second oldest of Ripa and Consuelos’ three children. After studying abroad in England during her college years at New York University, she has lived in London for the past two years. “I love London. It has such a charm. It’s so beautiful,” Lola said on Ripa’s podcast. She is currently applying for a visa extension to stay in London for another five years.
Notably, Lola’s visit comes just days before the release of her new self-titled single, set to launch on October 17. “Six days till ‘LOLA’ comes out ohmygaaawwwwd,” she posted on social media.
