Kpop Demon Hunters Sing Along Event

LOS ANGELES, CA — The popular animated film, KPop Demon Hunters, will host a sing-along event in theaters just in time for Halloween. The event runs from Friday, Oct. 31, through Sunday, Nov. 2, across major U.S. chains including AMC, Regal, and Cinemark.

This event has been brought back due to high demand, following a successful limited showing in August that earned between $17 million and $18 million at the box office. Tickets for the upcoming sing-along go on sale Oct. 17 at 6 a.m. PT.

KPop Demon Hunters, released on June 20, has achieved record-breaking viewership on Netflix, becoming the platform’s most streamed film of all time. The movie centers around a K-pop girl group, Huntr/x, who balance performing and fighting demons from the underworld.

The event encourages fans to dress as their favorite characters from the film. Officially licensed merchandise and costumes will be available through Spirit Halloween and Netflix Shop.

The animated feature’s soundtrack, featuring popular songs like “Golden” and “Soda Pop,” has also made waves on the Billboard charts, including peak positions on the Hot 100. The singing trio behind Huntr/x—EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, and REI AMI—recently made live appearances on shows like The Tonight Show, highlighting their growing stardom.

This collaboration between Netflix and AMC is a significant shift; the companies have been at odds over theatrical releases. A spokesperson for AMC confirmed that plans for future collaborations are under discussion.

For a global audience, KPop Demon Hunters will also screen in select theaters in Canada and numerous countries including the UK, Ireland, Korea, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, and New Zealand.

As audiences prepare for the sing-along event, those in the U.S. and Canada are advised to check local listings and get ready for a spooky, fun-filled weekend.
