Kristin Cavallari Announces Breakup with Younger Boyfriend
Kristin Cavallari, the 37-year-old founder of Uncommon James and former “The Hills” star, has announced her breakup with her 24-year-old boyfriend. This announcement was made on Friday during her appearance at Alex Cooper‘s Unwell Tour in Austin, Texas. “It’s so fresh, you guys,” Cavallari reportedly told the crowd. This update about her relationship was also expected to be addressed on her podcast “Back to the Beach with Kristin Cavallari”.
This breakup came just weeks after her former boyfriend, known publicly as Mark Estes, had appeared on Cavallari’s podcast “Let's Be Honest,” in which he shared thoughts about his future with Cavallari, expressing hopes to start a family. “Of course, I want to have my own child one day, but we’ve decided to take our time,” Estes was reported saying during the podcast. The duo gained media attention following Cavallari going “Instagram official” with Estes in March.
The relationship and its sudden end prompted a range of reactions from fans, particularly addressing the 13-year age gap between the couple. On social media, fans speculated about the reasons for their separation. Some mentioned their age difference, with remarks such as “HE is closer in age to her kid than to her,” in reference to Cavallari’s children with her ex-husband, Jay Cutler—sons Camden and Jaxon, and daughter Saylor.
In the months leading to their breakup, Cavallari and Estes had been seen sharing various moments on social media, including romantic vacations and travels over the summer, such as a trip to Greece. Despite their affectionate displays, Cavallari’s recent declaration marks the end of this chapter in her life.
Before her relationship with Estes, Cavallari was married to NFL star Jay Cutler. The marriage ended in 2020, and since then she has been linked to comedian Jeff Dye and L.A.-based trainer Jason Walsh.
