UP Lok Sabha Election Result 2024: SP Takes Lead in Initial Trends, BJP Trails Behind India Alliance
The much-anticipated results of the 2024 Lok Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh have begun to pour in, with early trends favoring the opposition alliance India. The ruling NDA alliance, led by the BJP, is lagging behind. In the key constituencies such as Faizabad, BJP candidate Jitin Prasada expressed confidence in setting a record victory under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
In the Badayun constituency, the first phase has already revealed a direct contest between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Aditya Yadav from the SP is leading by 207 votes, with Durvijay Singh Shakya at a close second with 35,438 votes. In third place is the BSP’s Musarrat Khan with 10,537 votes.
Simultaneously, as the counting progresses, trends show a shift with SP candidate Mohibullah Nadwi in the lead on the Ramapur Lok Sabha seat, a stronghold of Azam Khan.
Meanwhile, celebrations have erupted in Varanasi, Prime Minister Modi’s constituency, as assured party workers have started dancing and celebrating the lead. Across other seats like Shahjahanpur and Allahabad, the competition remains fierce, with each round of counting bringing new dynamics to the results.
