Lookman Pushes for Inter Milan Transfer as Deadline Approaches

TURIN, Italy — Ademola Lookman continues to seek a transfer to Inter Milan as the transfer window nears its close.
Reports from Italian broadcaster SportItalia indicate that Inter Milan has made two offers for the Atalanta forward. The first bid was for €40 million, which Atalanta rejected. The second offer, totaling €45 million including add-ons, also met with refusal.
Lookman, a former forward at RB Leipzig, has openly expressed his desire to leave Atalanta. He has missed training for over a week as part of his efforts to push for the move.
According to SportItalia, Inter is not ready to abandon their pursuit of Lookman. They remain patient despite Atalanta’s resistance. The situation has dragged on for more than a month, creating uncertainty for both clubs.
Italian agent Dario Canovi has weighed in on the situation, predicting Lookman will ultimately join Inter. He commented, “These stories can really go on forever, but in the end, Lookman will join.”
In addition to the Lookman saga, Inter has external interests. They are reportedly considering a move for Genoa‘s Morten Frendrup, as their pursuit of another target, Roma‘s Manu Kone, has been unsuccessful.
Inter’s midfield strategy appears to be evolving under new coach Cristian Chivu. The team is adapting to a new formation that may not suit all current players, prompting the search for suitable additions before the transfer deadline.
This ongoing transfer drama reflects the dynamic nature of football dealings, as clubs maneuver to finalize their rosters ahead of the upcoming season.
