Lorde Ultrasound World Tour Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — Lorde launched her highly anticipated ‘Ultrasound World Tour’ on September 17 at the Moody Center, performing to a vibrant crowd of 15,000 fans.

The New Zealand-born singer, known for her hits like “Royals” and “Team,” returned to arena-sized venues for the first time since her 2018 ‘Melodrama World Tour.’ Following a series of theater shows in support of her 2021 ‘Solar Power‘ album, this tour marks a significant step in her evolution as an artist.

In an email to fans earlier this year, Lorde expressed her nervousness about performing in larger venues. “Deciding to book a bigger tour was something I agonised over,” she wrote. However, the excitement surrounding her new album ‘Virgin,’ released in June 2025, convinced her to take the plunge.

The concert featured a thoughtful setlist that spanned her four albums, including tracks like “Shapeshifter” and “David” from ‘Virgin,’ alongside classics such as “Ribs” and “Perfect Places”. Lorde’s lively performance was complemented by her casual attire of a T-shirt and Calvin Klein shorts while she danced energetically on stage.

With several North American and European dates scheduled, Lorde is set to be joined by support acts like Blood Orange and The Japanese House. After the North American leg of the tour, she will continue performing in New Zealand and Australia in February 2026.

Despite her past stage fright, Lorde’s self-declared comeback is a testament to her commitment to her music and her fans. As she exclaimed during the concert, “This music wants to be played in big rooms, and that a lot of us should be there!” The tour promises multiple unforgettable moments as Lorde continues to evolve as an artist.
