In a significant move within the fashion industry, Louise Trotter has been named the new Creative Director of Bottega Veneta, effective January 2025. This announcement comes shortly after Trotter’s departure from her role as Creative Director at Carven, a position she held and garnered critical acclaim for with her four collections.

Trotter brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as Creative Director at Lacoste and Joseph, and having worked at notable fashion houses such as Calvin Klein, Whistles, and Jigsaw early in her career. Her appointment marks a new chapter in Bottega Veneta’s creative journey, following the departure of Matthieu Blazy, who has been at the helm for three years.

“I am deeply honored to join Bottega Veneta as Creative Director,” Trotter said in a statement. “The House’s storied legacy of artistry and innovation is truly inspiring, and I am excited to contribute to its future and celebrate its timeless vision.”.

Leo Rongone, CEO of Bottega Veneta, expressed his enthusiasm for Trotter’s appointment, highlighting her ability to combine exquisite design with sublime craft and her commitment to cultural advocacy, which aligns with the brand’s vision. Rongone also extended his gratitude to Matthieu Blazy for his transformative contributions to the brand.

Francesca Bellettini, Kering Deputy CEO in charge of Brand Development, praised Trotter’s wealth of experience and fresh perspective, noting that she is the ideal creative talent to carry forward the brand’s tradition of bold creativity and excellence.
