Madison's Leprechaun 'sean Patrick' Spreads Joy And Support Ahead Of St. Patrick's Day

Leading up to this year’s St. Patrick's Day, the vibrant city of Madison experienced a wave of joy and luck brought by the beloved leprechaun known as ‘Sean Patrick.’ In an exclusive interview with WMTV 15 News, the man behind the magical persona, Joe Herr, shared insights into his heartwarming community initiatives during the month of March.

‘I’m out and about, I’m grateful and blessed to be able to go make smiles. I think I was at, I don’t know, close to 45-50 places this week running around,’ expressed ‘Sean Patrick,’ alias Joe Herr.

From local schools to nursing homes, Madison’s own leprechaun, affectionately known as ‘Sean Patrick,’ made it his mission to ensure that every individual he encountered had a beaming smile etched on their faces.

‘Nobody frowns at a leprechaun,’ chuckled Herr, highlighting the undeniable charm and positivity his character exudes.

During the remaining months of the year, Joe Herr operates the Lemon Foundation, a notable non-profit organization dedicated to supporting disabled children in honor of his late son. The upcoming St. Patrick’s Day parade holds significant importance as it serves as a fundraiser for this impactful cause.

‘The parade benefits the Lemon Foundation, which in turn contributes to renowned institutions such as the UW Carbone Cancer Center, GiGi’s Playhouse, and Logan’s Hearts and Smiles, the latter founded in memory of my son, Logan, who tragically succumbed to pneumonia complications,’ shared ‘Sean Patrick.’

Tragically, Logan battled cerebral palsy, inspiring Herr to establish an organization that focuses on providing assistance to families dealing with safety and accessibility challenges. This heartfelt mission drives the support and outreach efforts spearheaded by the Lemon Foundation.

For those looking to catch a glimpse of ‘Sean Patrick’ and his team of cheerful supporters, the St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Madison is the place to be this Sunday. Join the festivities and cheer on this benevolent group as they spread joy and goodwill throughout the community.
