Madonna Responds To Fan's Hilarious Sign Referencing 'born This Way' Controversy

Pop legend Madonna had an amusing interaction with a fan during her recent concert in Pittsburgh‘s PPG Paints Arena. Before performing an acoustic version of her hit song ‘Express Yourself‘, Madonna noticed a fan’s sign referencing the controversy surrounding Lady Gaga‘s song ‘Born This Way‘, which Madonna famously called ‘reductive’ in the past.

The sign read, ‘You look it up, bitch!’, prompting Madonna to respond with a witty remark, ‘You look it up!’. The audience erupted with laughter at the playful exchange.

Back in 2012, Madonna was asked about the similarities between ‘Born This Way’ and her own song ‘Express Yourself’ during an interview with Cynthia McFadden. Madonna’s response was that it felt ‘reductive’, leading to a public divide between fans of both pop stars.

However, it seems that Madonna and Gaga have buried the hatchet since then. Madonna even shared a photo of the two of them posing together with Gaga’s Academy Award for their collaboration on the song ‘Shallow’ from the movie ‘A Star is Born’.

Gaga, in a recent documentary, addressed Madonna’s ‘reductive’ comment, expressing her admiration for the pop icon. She also mentioned that the only thing that bothered her was Madonna’s refusal to discuss it directly with her.

Madonna’s concert in Pittsburgh was filled with memorable moments, but this lighthearted interaction with her fan will surely be one for the books.
