Marvel Studios Reveals Cast For The Fantastic Four Movie

Marvel Studios has officially unveiled the star-studded cast for its highly anticipated The Fantastic Four movie.

The superhero quartet, known as the Marvel First Family, will be portrayed by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards or Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm or the Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm or the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm or the Thing.

As part of the casting announcement, Disney has also made changes to its release schedule, moving The Fantastic Four to July 25, 2025, and Thunderbolts to May 2, 2025, among other key Marvel films lined up.

In the comic book lore, the Fantastic Four are astronauts who obtain superhuman abilities after being exposed to cosmic rays in space, with Reed gaining stretching powers, Sue acquiring invisibility and forcefield manipulation, Johnny turning into fire with the ability to fly, and Ben transformed into a super-strong creature known as the Thing.

The film will be helmed by director Matt Shakman and features a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Production is expected to commence in summer.

Pascal, widely recognized for his versatile acting, is slated to portray Reed Richards after his standout roles, and Kirby, following her acclaimed performances, will embody the iconic Invisible Woman, a character she expressed immense interest in playing.

Previously under 20th Century Fox’s domain, the Fantastic Four movie rights shifted to Disney following its acquisition of the studio, finally integrating the beloved characters into the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The introduction of the Fantastic Four to the MCU marks a new cornerstone following the exits of iconic characters like Steve Rogers and Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame.
