Massive Fire Tragedy in Gujarat’s TRP Game Zone Claims 33 Lives
At least 33 individuals have lost their lives tragically in a massive fire incident at the TRP Game Zone in Rajkot, Gujarat. The fire outbreak, reportedly caused by welding work, occurred at the temporary structures of the amusement park, leading to a devastating situation.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi visited the site to assess the situation, while the Special Investigation Team (SIT) conducted meetings with the local administration in Rajkot. The bodies of the victims were charred beyond recognition, necessitating DNA samples for identification.
In another distressing incident, a significant fire engulfed a children’s hospital in Vivek Vihar, Delhi, further adding to the nation’s recent tragedies.
The authorities have taken the owner and manager of the TRP Game Zone into custody for questioning in connection with the unfortunate event. The State government has initiated an investigation to determine if the gaming zone had obtained the required licenses.
Relief and rescue operations were in progress for over six hours as firefighters worked diligently to navigate through the charred remnants of the game zone in search of victims. Eyewitnesses recounted how individuals, including children, were enjoying activities at the amusement park when the fire broke out.
President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed their condolences and offered support to the affected individuals. Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel to stay informed about the rescue efforts.
