McEnany Claims Democrats Exonerated in New Book Controversy

Washington, D.C. – Kayleigh McEnany, the former press secretary for President Donald Trump, made headlines Friday night by suggesting that many Democrats are “exonerated” in light of revelations from a new book. McEnany served as Trump’s spokesperson from April 2020 to January 2021.
During an appearance on Fox News’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” McEnany commented on an exposé by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, which claims that only a small number of aides had regular access to Trump. “Six or seven? That was the number that had the close-up access?” she said, arguing that it diminishes the responsibility of a larger group within the Democratic Party.
“I worked on the campaign and didn’t have much access to President Trump at the time. It really was a small cadre in the White House,” McEnany added.
The book, titled “Original Sin,” details Trump’s unsuccessful reelection bid and discusses Biden’s physical and mental decline. It includes alarming claims, such as discussions among aides about potentially putting President Biden in a wheelchair due to his deteriorating condition.
“Biden’s physical deterioration—most apparent in his halting walk—had become so severe that there were internal discussions about putting the president in a wheelchair, but they couldn’t do so until after the election,” said Tapper and Thompson.
They also reported an incident where Biden reportedly failed to recognize an A-list actor, with a witness describing the moment as “startling” and recalling that it was “so awful” to witness.
In response to the claims made in the book, Biden’s spokesperson Chris Meagher expressed confidence in the president’s capabilities, stating, “We’re still waiting for someone, anyone, to point out where Joe Biden had to make a presidential decision or make a presidential address where he was unable to do his job because of mental decline.”
Additionally, the book sheds light on the frustrations within Biden’s own party regarding his decision to run for reelection, with David Plouffe, a key figure in the Biden campaign, labeling the situation as a “f***ing nightmare” and blaming Biden for it.
Biden’s current battle with cancer adds another layer to the concerns raised in the book, as medical professionals suggest that he may have had his diagnosis for longer than previously disclosed. Doctor Zeke Emanuel stated, “He had it while he was president. He probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021.”
As the political landscape shifts, questions about leadership and mental fitness linger, highlighted by McEnany’s comments and the new narrative emerging from “Original Sin.”
