Megan Stalter Emmy Awards 2025

Los Angeles, CA — Megan Stalter, the 34-year-old star of the hit show Hacks, made a bold statement at the Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 14, by dressing down in a simple T-shirt and jeans. Stalter arrived at the Peacock Theater carrying a handbag emblazoned with the words “CEASE FIRE!” in a move that captures attention amid the night’s glitzy atmosphere.

Stalter, known for her unconventional fashion choices, opted for straight-leg blue jeans paired with a white Hanes T-shirt and black flats. Speaking on the red carpet, she emphasized the importance of comfort, stating, “I think people need to bring back jeans on the red carpet. They were in the ’90s… there are no rules. You’re allowed to do what you want.”

The handbag’s message likely refers to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. Stalter commented, “It’s the most important to stick up for people and for peace… We have to use our platforms. What’s the point of being at these big events if you’re not going to use your privilege?” Her appearance also included a hint of color with red lipstick and nail polish, while her long, dark hair was styled in soft waves.

Hacks is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, with Stalter’s co-star Jean Smart also recognized for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. Stalter’s choice of attire, and her willingness to subvert the expected glamour of the event, reflects her creative spirit and commitment to making a statement.

This isn’t the first time Stalter has taken fashion risks. In a previous appearance, she wore a DIY top featuring a photo of herself and the text, “Meg Stalter is the prettiest girl in America,” showcasing her humorous approach to style. Stalter explained, “I made it in the car. I sewed it on myself.”

Fans can follow the live broadcast of the 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards on CBS and Paramount+, showcasing both the glamour and the statements made by tonight’s nominees.
