Michael Keaton to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ with Musical Guest Billie Eilish
“Saturday Night Live” continues its landmark 50th season this week with actor Michael Keaton set to host for the fourth time, according to NBC. Keaton has previously hosted episodes in 1982, 1992, and 2015. Known for his roles in “Beetlejuice” and Tim Burton‘s “Batman” series, Keaton recently returned to his iconic role in the sequel “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.”
Joining Keaton on the October 19, 2024 episode will be musical guest Billie Eilish. Currently on her “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tour, Eilish will be performing in arenas across the United States through December before embarking on an international leg in 2025. This will be Eilish’s fourth appearance on “SNL,” having previously served both as host and musical guest in December 2021.
The current season of “Saturday Night Live” kicked off with Jean Smart as host and musical guest Jelly Roll, followed by episodes featuring Nate Bargatze and Coldplay. The previous week’s show was hosted by Ariana Grande with musical guest Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks, marking her return to the “SNL” stage after a 40-year absence.
This week’s episode of “SNL” will air on NBC at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT and will be available to stream the following day on Peacock. Other notable appearances this season include former cast member Maya Rudolph, who has returned to portray Vice President Kamala Harris.
As “SNL” progresses through its 50th season, the show has introduced several new cast members, while simultaneously bidding farewell to long-standing performers, including Molly Kearney. Viewers anticipating live studio experiences can participate in the annual ticket lottery held every August, with standby tickets available for those who miss the initial draw.
