PM Modi Inaugurates Projects Worth Over ₹68,000 Crore in Odisha
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various projects in Odisha, amounting to a total value of over ₹68,000 crore during a recent visit to the state. One of the key projects inaugurated was the permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur, which was built at a cost of ₹400 crore. Additionally, Modi unveiled infrastructure initiatives in sectors such as power, roads, and railways.

The prime minister emphasized the positive impact of these projects, highlighting their potential to benefit the youth and create employment opportunities in Odisha. He expressed the central government’s commitment to supporting the state’s development across all sectors.

In a significant move to improve connectivity in the region, Modi also flagged off the Puri-Sonepur-Puri weekly express train. Furthermore, he dedicated the Jharsuguda Head Post Office Heritage Building to the nation. The 412-km Dhamra-Angul pipeline section of the Jagdishpur-Haldia and Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline project was also inaugurated by the prime minister, connecting Odisha with the National Gas Grid.
