PM Modi Launches 10 New Vande Bharat Trains, Inaugurates Railway Projects in Gujarat and Rajasthan
Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook a series of significant events on Tuesday, ranging from the inauguration of railway projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to witnessing indigenous defence capabilities in Pokhran, Rajasthan. The day commenced with PM Modi unveiling railway projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with a focus on enhancing infrastructure and connectivity.
During the event, PM Modi laid the foundation stone for railway projects surpassing Rs. 85,000 crores, which included initiatives like Railway Workshops, Loco Sheds, and the Phaltan – Baramati New line. Additionally, ten new Vande Bharat trains were launched, along with extensions to four existing Vande Bharat trains, aiming to enhance rail connectivity across the nation.
Following the railway project inauguration, PM Modi visited the historic Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad to unveil the master plan for the Gandhi Ashram Memorial and inaugurate the Kochrab Ashram. The revamp of Kochrab Ashram, the first ashram established by Mahatma Gandhi, holds significant cultural and historical importance.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister attended the ‘Bharat Shakti‘ Tri-Services Live Fire and Manoeuvre Exercise event in Pokhran, Rajasthan. This event showcased a range of indigenous defence technologies and capabilities across land, air, sea, cyber, and space domains, aligning with the Aatmanirbharata initiative.
PM Modi’s visit on the anniversary of the Dandi March, a pivotal event in India‘s struggle for independence led by Mahatma Gandhi, underscored the importance of historical milestones in shaping the nation’s identity. The day’s activities highlighted a blend of developmental projects, cultural heritage preservation, and defence readiness, reflecting the government’s multifaceted approach towards nation-building.
