PM Modi’s Third Term Oath Ceremony: Key Leaders and Global Dignitaries to Attend
Today, Narendra Modi is set to take oath for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister of India. The swearing-in ceremony will witness the induction of key leaders such as Ram Mohan Naidu from TDP, Pemmasani Chandrashekhar, H.D. Kumaraswamy from JD (S), BJP‘s Annamalai and Sarbananda Sonowal. Additionally, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Nirmala Sitharaman are slated to take their oath of office.
Notable figures like Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and Pralhad Joshi are also expected to be appointed as Ministers in the new government formation. The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, formally invited Mr. Modi to form the government following a successful election campaign by the NDA.
The National Democratic Alliance secured 286 seats in the recent elections, with the BJP claiming victory in 240 constituencies. Despite falling short of the majority mark, the NDA coalition is prepared to lead the country once more under Modi’s leadership.
As part of Modi’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy, seven countries from South Asia and the Indian Ocean region are sending dignitaries to attend the grand swearing-in ceremony. Leaders from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, Seychelles, and the Maldives will be part of this prestigious event at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
