Mystery Surrounds Disappearance of Former TV Presenter and Partner in Sydney
A former Network Ten presenter, Jesse Baird, and his partner, Luke Davies, have gone missing under suspicious circumstances in Sydney, sparking a police investigation.
The 26-year-old Baird and his 29-year-old partner, a Qantas flight attendant, were last seen in the Paddington area of Sydney’s east on Monday.
Blood-stained items belonging to both men were discovered in a skip bin in Cronulla, while Baird’s residence on Brown Street in Paddington was later deemed a crime scene after traces of blood were found inside.
Police have not been able to locate Davies, who was believed to have been in Paddington on the day of their disappearance, according to Detective Superintendent Jodi Radmore.
Radmore mentioned that neighbors reported hearing shouting on Monday morning, hinting at a possible incident at Baird’s home.
Investigators found signs of a struggle inside the house, with furniture rearranged, and significant amount of blood present.
Key belongings such as phones, credit cards, and keys were recovered from the Cronulla skip bin, prompting further concerns about the men’s whereabouts.
Authorities have seized cars from multiple locations, including Baird’s residence and another site, and are now investigating a third person possibly linked to the case.
Interestingly, Baird, who is also an AFL goal umpire, was scheduled to officiate a practice match involving the Sydney Swans and the Greater Western Sydney Giants, but failed to appear, leading to further inquiries by the league.
While one of the men was active on social media as recent as Tuesday, their bank accounts have not been accessed since the weekend, raising more questions about their sudden disappearance.
NSW Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue to unravel the mystery surrounding the missing couple.
