Nba Preseason Games In Abu Dhabi 2025

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks arrived in Abu Dhabi this week for a preseason doubleheader starting Thursday. This marks the fourth consecutive year the NBA has held games in the UAE, with the action taking place at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island.

Both teams are participating in one of seven international games scheduled for the NBA’s preseason and regular season. Before their matchup, the Knicks and 76ers took time to explore the city, engaging in activities from desert tours to rounds of golf.

The Knicks and 76ers received a warm welcome upon their arrival, greeted by local singing and refreshments. Knicks coach Mike Brown documented the festivities on his phone, while Knicks guard Jalen Brunson carried a falcon alongside Philadelphia players Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid.

The Knicks recalled their previous trips to the UAE, reminiscing about camel rides in the desert, which included legends like Patrick Ewing. This year, the 76ers posed for a team photo at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the world’s largest mosques, named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Despite being abroad, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse and guard James Harden carved out time to practice their golf swings. Meanwhile, the Knicks engaged with young fans, showcasing their artistic skills as they colored pictures of sneakers.

The excitement continues to build as both teams prepare for their upcoming games, demonstrating their commitment to engaging with international fans.
