A series of controversies and incidents have marred the conduct of the NEET UG 2024 exam across different states in India. Complaints of large-scale irregularities have surfaced during the organization of NEET UG 2024, with reports of paper leaks and mismanagement.

In the capital city of Bihar, Patna, an FIR has been lodged following information of NEET paper leak. Simultaneously, in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, a dummy candidate was caught taking the exam.

Meanwhile, in Savai Madhopur, Rajasthan, a peculiar incident occurred at the Ideal Vidya Mandir examination center, where Hindi medium students were given English medium question papers, leading to chaos among the exam-takers and parents. Some students even walked out of the exam hall with the papers.

Amidst the uproar, a candidate in Sikar, Rajasthan, resorted to violence by stabbing another candidate outside the exam center before casually returning to take the test, while the police awaited outside.

In Patna, raids continue as the police have filed an FIR following the confidential information about the NEET UG paper leak. Several individuals, including NEET candidates, are being questioned while numerous areas in Patna witness police action.

NTA has acknowledged the distribution of wrong papers at the Ideal Vidya Mandir exam center in Savai Madhopur, Rajasthan. They have issued a notice stating that a group of offenders distributed incorrect papers, leading some candidates to forcibly exit with the question papers despite efforts by invigilators to stop them.

Responding to the incident, NTA ensured that the integrity of the exams at other centers remained unaffected, except for the one center in question. Approximately 120 affected students at this center were scheduled for a re-examination on May 5 to provide all candidates with equal opportunities.
