Netflix Opens Immersive Experience at King of Prussia Mall
King of Prussia, Pennsylvania – Netflix opened its first immersive experience, Netflix House, on Monday at the King of Prussia Mall, the fourth-largest mall in the United States. This venue is designed to draw fans into a world inspired by Netflix’s popular shows.
The grand opening, which took place two days before the house opened to the public, featured prominent figures including CEO Ted Sarandos and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. Sarandos emphasized Netflix’s desire to connect with fans, stating, “You’ve invited us into your home for more than two decades, and now, we’re able to return the favor by welcoming you into ours.” The Netflix House aims to provide an experience beyond traditional retail, allowing visitors to explore themed attractions and purchase merchandise.
Upon entering through a distinctive red facade reminiscent of Netflix’s old DVD mailers, visitors are greeted by vibrant murals and sculptures that celebrate hit shows like *Wednesday* and *Squid Game*. One of the main attractions, *Wednesday: Eve of the Outcasts*, immerses fans in a spooky carnival inspired by the character Wednesday Addams. Another attraction, *One Piece: Quest for the Devil Fruit*, offers an escape room experience.
The venue also includes photo ops, a restaurant with themed snacks, and virtual reality experiences based on shows such as *Stranger Things* and *Rebel Moon*. Although entry to Netflix House is free, ticket prices for the attractions start at $39, with VR experiences priced at $25. The response to Netflix House has been mixed, with some praising its creativity while others question its long-term appeal.
Netflix plans to open a second location in Dallas’ Galleria mall in December. The introduction of Netflix House marks an innovative approach by the streaming giant as it seeks to engage fans in fresh and interactive ways.
