New Pokémon TCG Expansion Phantasmal Flames Set to Launch Soon

REDMOND, Wash. — The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) is gearing up for an exciting new expansion titled Mega Evolution—Phantasmal Flames, set to release on November 14, 2025. This highly anticipated expansion will introduce powerful Mega Evolution Pokémon, including favorites like Mega Charizard X ex and Mega Gengar ex, creating a buzz among fans and collectors.

Phantasmal Flames boasts over 120 collectible cards, featuring a range of powerful characters poised for battles against opponents. Players can expect a mix of Fire-type and Darkness-type Pokémon, aiming to elevate both gameplay and collector interest.

For avid collectors looking to stock up, the expansion will offer Booster Display Boxes containing 36 booster packs, each with 10 cards plus one Basic Energy card. This format allows players to enjoy the thrill of opening packs all at once or pace out the excitement.

In addition to the Booster Display Box, Elite Trainer Boxes will provide a well-rounded selection of TCG cards and essential gameplay accessories. Each box will include nine booster packs, a full-art promo card featuring Charcadet, as well as card sleeves and damage counter dice.

The exclusive Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box features additional perks, including 11 booster packs—two more than the standard Elite Trainer Box—and two full-art promo cards of Charcadet, one bearing the Pokémon Center logo.

Players can also look forward to Build & Battle Boxes, which will be available during Prerelease events. These boxes include a ready-to-play 40-card deck and four booster packs from Phantasmal Flames.
