Newington Ticket Holds $100,000 Powerball Prize Yet to Be Claimed
NEWINGTON, Connecticut — A lottery ticket sold at a 7-Eleven store has won a $100,000 prize in the Cash5 game on Wednesday night, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
The winning numbers were 3-12-20-24-27. The ticket was purchased at 461 New Britain Ave. in Newington and remains unclaimed.
In addition to the top prize, a separate ticket in Connecticut matched four white balls and the Powerball, winning a $50,000 prize. The ticket for the Powerball drawing had the numbers 18-37-52-54-60, with a Powerball of 12.
There were a total of 2,858 Cash5 tickets sold in Connecticut that won prizes in Wednesday’s drawings. Drawings for the Cash5 game occur nightly.
According to the CT Lottery, several other winning Powerball tickets were sold in the state. Five tickets matched four white balls and won $100, while two of those used the Power Play feature, doubling their prizes to $200.
The next Powerball drawing is set for Saturday, with an estimated jackpot of $344 million and a cash value of $163.7 million.
Players are encouraged to check their tickets and claim any prizes to avoid missing out on potential winnings.
