Olivia Rodrigo, The 1975 to Headline Glastonbury 2025 Festival

WORTHY FARM, England — The Glastonbury Festival has announced its lineup for 2025, featuring headlining performances by U.S. pop star Olivia Rodrigo, British band The 1975, and rock legend Neil Young. The festival will take place from June 25 to 29, 2025, at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
Rodrigo, 22, will headline the iconic Pyramid Stage on Sunday night, marking her return after a notable performance in 2022, where she garnered a young and enthusiastic crowd. With her chart-topping hits and dynamic stage presence, she is set to bring back fan favorites like “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U.” Her last tour, which grossed $186 million, solidified her status as a prominent figure in the music industry.
The 1975 will headline the Pyramid Stage on Friday, June 27. Known for their eclectic style and thought-provoking lyrics, the band has a rich history with the festival, having performed multiple times but never before in a headlining capacity. The group’s frontman, Matty Healy, often draws attention for his provocative statements and actions during performances, adding an element of suspense to their shows.
Neil Young will headline the Saturday nights’ lineup with his band Chrome Hearts. Young had previously expressed concerns over the festival’s corporate associations but confirmed his performance just days after announcing his withdrawal. “Due to an error in the information received, I had decided not to play the Glastonbury festival, which I have always loved,” he stated in a statement.
The Other Stage will see U.K. pop star Charli XCX lead the billing on Saturday. After a successful set at Glastonbury in previous years, she returns to showcase her latest album, which has received critical acclaim. Fellow emerging artists, including Doechii and Alanis Morissette, are set for their debut performances at the festival, indicating a growing trend of new talent being featured alongside iconic names.
Additional artists slated to perform include British indie favorites Wolf Alice, the genre-blending duo Wet Leg, and dynamic rapper Busta Rhymes. Other notable additions are Jorja Smith, Ezra Collective, and the resurgent Maccabees, reflecting the festival’s commitment to a diverse range of musical styles and generations.
Each day of the festival promises a rich array of performances, with Saturday featuring a remarkable lineup that includes recent breakout artists and genre-defying talent.
Tickets for the festival sold out rapidly, reflecting the high demand and anticipation surrounding the annual event. A resale is scheduled for April, allowing fans another chance to secure their spots at this historic gathering.
Festivalgoers can look forward to not only established headliners but also new talent making their mark on the iconic stages of Glastonbury, continuing its legacy as one of the world’s foremost music festivals.
