Opposition INDIA Bloc Emerges Victorious in Bypoll Results Winning 10 Seats, BJP Gets 2

The Election Commission has announced the results of the 13 assembly seats that underwent bypolls. In a significant turn of events, the opposition INDIA bloc emerged as the main winner as they secured victory in 10 seats. On the other hand, the BJP managed to secure victories in only 2 seats, while an Independent candidate claimed one seat. This outcome denotes a major shift in the political landscape.

Mamata Banerjee‘s Trinamool Congress triumphed in all four seats in West Bengal, showcasing a strong hold over the region. Similarly, the Congress party bagged wins in four seats — two each in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. The Aam Aadmi Party clinched a significant victory in Punjab, while the BJP secured one seat each in Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Bihar‘s Rupauli seat was won by an independent candidate.

Victories in West Bengal saw TMC’s Krishna Kalyani, Madhupurna Thakur, and Mukut Adhikari emerge victorious in the Raiganj, Bagda, and Ranaghat Dakshin seats, respectively. In Himachal Pradesh, Kamlesh Thakur, Hardeep Singh Bawa, and Ashish Sharma secured wins in the Dehra, Nalagarh, and Hamirpur constituencies, respectively. DMK‘s Anniyur Siva won in Tamil Nadu‘s Vikravandi, while Shankar Singh, an independent candidate, secured success in Bihar’s Rupauli seat.
