Pamela Anderson, 57, shared a surprising revelation about her co-star Dave Bautista during a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.’ Anderson, who stars alongside Bautista in the new film ‘The Last Showgirl,’ directed by Gia Coppola, admitted she didn’t realize Bautista was bald until she saw him without his character’s wig.

‘He’s such, like, a gentle giant,’ Anderson told Fallon. ‘I didn’t know that he didn’t have hair. I saw him with the wig and then I saw him at the party and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ He’s wearing diamonds and pearls and this suit and I was like, ‘Where’s my gentle giant?”

In the film, which premiered on January 8, Anderson plays Shelly, a veteran Las Vegas showgirl mourning the end of her long-running show. Bautista, 55, plays Eddie, the venue’s producer. Anderson revealed that she went to great lengths to prepare for her role, including hosting real Las Vegas showgirls at her home for tea and conversations about their experiences.

‘I had the showgirls come to my house,’ Anderson recalled. ‘I had tea with them and we talked showgirl stories, like what they did after the show, all the showgirl dos and don’ts.’ Her performance has already garnered critical acclaim, earning her nominations for several awards.

Brenda Song, another co-star in the film, shared in a January 7 interview that Anderson’s approach to authenticity influenced the entire cast. Song, 36, noted that Anderson insisted on minimal makeup for off-stage scenes to reflect the reality of showgirls’ lives. ‘The first day we tried makeup on and Gia was like, ‘It doesn’t feel real.’ And Pam was like, ‘These women don’t have time for it,” Song recalled. ‘And Pamela being Pamela, she goes, ‘I’m not doing it. You guys shouldn’t do it either.”

Anderson also shared her commitment to staying true to her character, even avoiding mirrors while preparing for filming. ‘I didn’t want that to be in my head at all about the way that I looked, unless it was in the showgirl mirrors [in the movie],’ she explained.
