MK Party’s Secretary General Resigns Due to Workload and Business Interests
Just three weeks after being appointed as the secretary general of the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, Arthur Zwane has tendered his resignation, citing the overwhelming volume of work and his personal business interests.
In his resignation letter, Zwane expressed his willingness to assist with organizational matters on a part-time basis, emphasizing that the current workload was detracting from his other commitments.
Responding to Zwane’s departure, MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhela confirmed that Zwane remains a member of the organization and will be redeployed to a different role within the party.
Ndhela highlighted the voluntary nature of positions within the MK Party, noting that leadership members often transition to new roles based on the organization’s needs. He referenced the previous secretary general, Sihle Ngubane, who moved to the position of chief whip within the party.
