Paul Manafort Donald Trump 2024 Campaign

Paul Manafort, the former campaign manager for Donald Trump‘s 2016 presidential campaign, has been making significant statements about Trump’s current 2024 campaign and potential future administration. According to Manafort, if Trump is elected, he plans to work with Democrats in what Manafort termed a ‘legacy term’.

Manafort has also been optimistic about the early voting numbers, claiming that the Trump campaign is “beating them in early voting right now” and that the Democrats are “falling behind”.

In the context of a potential second Trump administration, there are concerns about the individuals who might fill key positions. Trump has suggested that figures like Elon Musk could be in charge of a new government efficiency office, while Robert F. Kennedy Jr. might oversee public health, and far-right provocateur Laura Loomer could run White House communications. This lineup includes several individuals with controversial backgrounds, such as Manafort himself, Roger Stone, and Michael Flynn, all of whom have been convicted of crimes and received pardons from Trump.

Additionally, Trump’s plans for immigration policy, which would involve mass deportations and potentially internment camps, have been criticized by former Trump officials. Figures like former Trump Chief of Staff John Kelly, former Vice President Mike Pence, and former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis have all expressed concerns about Trump’s authoritarian tendencies and his potential to “rule as a dictator” if reelected.
