Philadelphia Eagles WR Julio Jones Leaves Wild Card Game with Injury
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones suffered an injury during the team’s Wild Card game on Monday night. The veteran wideout, who was expected to have an increased role due to a fellow wide receiver’s absence, was taken to the medical tent after a hard hit by an opposing defender. Trainers tended to Jones on the field before he left the game.
Since joining the Eagles earlier this season, Jones has struggled to find a prominent role in the offense. He appeared in 11 regular season games and managed 11 receptions out of 19 targets for a total of 74 yards and three touchdowns. Before his injury, Jones had caught all three of his targets for 22 yards.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, Jones has been ruled out for the remainder of the game. Furthermore, he is currently being evaluated for a possible concussion, according to reports.
