Political Turmoil In Bihar As Nitish Kumar Plans To Join Bjp

A meeting of senior leaders from Lalu Prasad Yadav‘s party in Bihar took place today amidst the ongoing political churn in the state. The Chairman of Bihar legislative council, Devesh Chandra Thakur, and senior leader Lalan Singh met with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar at his residence in Patna. At the same time, a crucial meeting of the BJP core committee, discussing whether to extend support to Nitish Kumar in forming the government, also commenced.

Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge, responding to the developments, stated that they are trying their best to keep everyone united together and denied having information about Nitish Kumar’s plans to resign.

The RJD Legislative Party meeting is about to begin, with all MLAs present at Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav‘s residence. While LJP President Chirag Paswan is set to meet Union Chief Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Giriraj Singh declared that the BJP will form the government in Bihar in 2025.

Sources suggest that Nitish Kumar will receive the BJP’s support letter tonight, which will be handed over by the BJP’s MLAs. Furthermore, Bihar BJP leaders held discussions in Delhi regarding the political developments, analyzing the pros and cons of joining hands with JD(U). If the BJP forms the government, the formula of 2020 is likely to be reinstated, with Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister and Sushil Kumar Modi as one of his deputies.

In light of the political crisis, all RJD ministers included in the Nitish Kumar cabinet have canceled their programs and are occupied with departmental work. RJD MP Manoj Jha questioned the leadership of the alliance and urged Nitish Kumar to clarify the situation.

Bihar RJD leader Mrityunjay Tiwari voiced support for the current Nitish-Tejashwi government and criticized the BJP for creating confusion. Reports indicate that Nitish Kumar may resign from his post, and some Congress MLAs may join him.

Union Minister Anurag Thgakur commented on the political turmoil, citing the lack of unity within the opposition alliance. Nitish Kumar is preparing to return to the NDA fold, ending his alliance with RJD.

RJD leader Ritlal Yadav emphasized that nobody has the power to betray Lalu Prasad Yadav. Meanwhile, the Bihar BJP is holding a working committee meeting to discuss the current political situation, while the Bihar government has undergone a major bureaucratic reshuffle.

The RJD has called for a meeting of its MLAs to determine their course of action. JD(U) MLA Gopal Mandal expressed support for Nitish Kumar and stated that the party MLAs are united.
