Power Outage in Boise Leaves 6,800 Without Electricity

BOISE, Idaho — A power outage impacted over 6,800 residents in Boise Friday afternoon. Idaho Power reported the outage was due to weather-related conditions.

The outage has affected approximately 6,811 customers in the vicinity of Broadway Avenue and Boise Avenue. Idaho Power is actively working to restore electricity to these neighborhoods.

Crews are on site, and the utility company estimates power will be restored by 5:00 PM Friday evening. Customers are advised to stay updated through Idaho Power’s website for further information.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the outage, but residents are encouraged to use alternative light sources and avoid opening refrigerators to preserve food.
