BC Hydro has successfully restored power to residents of 100 Mile House and Canim Lake after two separate outages affected a total of 300 customers.

The first outage, impacting approximately 221 customers near Mahood Falls close to Wells Grey Provincial Park, began on May 16 at 9:44 a.m. BC Hydro attributed this outage to a fallen tree across their wires and confirmed that repair crews were promptly dispatched to address the issue.

According to BC Hydro estimates, power was expected to be fully reinstated by 2 p.m. on the same day, bringing relief to those affected by the temporary loss of electricity.

Meanwhile, the second outage, which started on May 15 at 12:43 p.m. on Exeter Station Road east of the Gustafson Lake Forest Service Road, impacted around 122 customers. BC Hydro has reported that the cause of this outage is still under investigation at this time.

Despite the ongoing investigation, BC Hydro has already mobilized a dedicated crew to work on resolving the second outage and ensuring that all customers regain power as swiftly as possible.
