President Tinubu Appoints New Ceos For Agencies In The Federal Ministry Of Arts, Culture, And Creative Economy

The Presidency, on Friday, January 12th, announced that President Tinubu has appointed eleven new CEOs for agencies in the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy. These appointments are aimed at revitalizing the creative sector in Nigeria.

Among the newly appointed CEOs are entertainment executive, Obi Asika, who is known for his successful record label Storm Records and his involvement in various creative initiatives such as Social Media Week Lagos. Also appointed is Ali Nuhu, a popular and highly respected actor, director, and producer in the Nigerian movie industry. Chalya Shagaya, a fashion and PR maven, has also been appointed to a key position within the Ministry.

The full list of appointees includes Tola Akerele as the Director-General of the National Theatre, Dr. Shaibu Husseini as the Director-General of the National Films and Censors Board, Aisha Adamu Augie as the Director-General of the Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture, Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan as the Chief Conservator of the National War Museum, Ahmed Sodangi as the Director-General of the National Gallery of Art, Chalya Shagaya as the Director-General of the National Institute of Archeology and Museums Studies, Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana as the Artistic Director of the National Troupe of Nigeria, Otunba Biodun Ajiboye as the Director-General of the National Institute for Cultural Orientation, Ali Nuhu as the Managing-Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, and Ramatu Abonbo Mohammed as the Director-General of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments.

These appointments are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to the various agencies, which will contribute to the development and growth of the arts, culture, and creative sectors in Nigeria.
