Probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar, who recently faced a transfer from Pune under allegations of power misuse, has found staunch support from her father, Dilip Khedkar. Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding her, Dilip Khedkar has come forward to defend his daughter’s integrity and professionalism.

The accusations against Puja Khedkar surfaced following claims of requesting exclusive privileges such as a separate office, a car, and accommodation before assuming her role as Assistant Collector in Pune. Dilip Khedkar has refuted these claims and asserted that Puja is being unfairly targeted without valid justification.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with India Today TV, Dilip Khedkar emphasized that asking for basic requirements like a designated workspace is not a transgression. He highlighted that the matter is currently under review by a committee, urging for a fair assessment before drawing conclusions.

Puja Khedkar, a member of the 2023 Maharashtra cadre for IAS officers, has been entangled in a legal battle over the alleged misconduct. Dilip Khedkar clarified that the family will present their case amidst the ongoing legal proceedings and refrain from premature comments on the case.

When pressed about the specifics of the application process, including the categorization under creamy or non-creamy layer, Dilip Khedkar expressed confidence in the adherence to regulations. He iterated that all actions were conducted in accordance with the prescribed protocols, emphasizing the absence of any wrongdoing or ethical breaches.
