UK Prosecutors File 21 Charges Against Andrew and Tristan Tate

LONDON, England — UK prosecutors have filed 21 charges against internet personalities Andrew and Tristan Tate, including allegations of rape, actual bodily harm, and human trafficking, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed on Tuesday.
The charges against the Tate brothers follow an extradition warrant issued in 2024, aimed at bringing them back to the UK from Romania, where they currently face separate legal proceedings. The CPS noted that these domestic criminal matters in Romania must first be resolved.
Andrew Tate, 38, a former kickboxer and social media influencer, faces 10 charges linked to three alleged victims, which include accusations of rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for financial gain. His brother, Tristan, 36, is charged with 11 offenses related to one alleged victim, encompassing rape, actual bodily harm, and human trafficking.
The charges stem from evidence presented by Bedfordshire Police regarding allegations believed to have occurred between 2012 and 2015. Both brothers, who have denied any wrongdoing related to the Romanian charges, maintain their innocence in the UK as well.
A CPS spokesperson emphasized the seriousness of the charges, stating, “We can confirm that we have authorized charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate for offences including rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm against three women.”
In light of these proceedings, the CPS also reminded the public about the importance of not sharing or commenting on the case in a manner that could influence the outcome of the trial.
This major development adds to the ongoing legal troubles faced by the Tate brothers, who have been contentious figures due to their online content and lifestyle brand.
