Pink Out Celebration In Raleigh

The City of Raleigh is set to host a ‘Pink Out Celebration in the Park’ on October 26, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at the Sgt. Courtney T. Johnson Community Center located at 801 Proctor Street, Raleigh, NC 27610. This community gathering aims to raise awareness for breast cancer and show support for survivors and those currently battling the disease.

The event organizers have encouraged all attendees to wear pink in solidarity, whether it be a shirt, hat, or ribbon, with the vision of ‘painting the park pink.’ This vibrant show of support is intended to bring hope and make a difference for those affected by breast cancer.

The celebration is open to all ages and is free of charge, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate. The city’s official website notes that coming together in such a public manner is crucial for raising both awareness and morale.

City officials have stated, “We look forward to seeing the community come out in support of a cause that touches so many lives.” The event also provides an avenue for the community to stand united in the fight against breast cancer and celebrate the strength and resilience of survivors.
