Los Angeles Rams Nfl Game

INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Los Angeles Rams defeated the previously unbeaten Indianapolis Colts 34-27 on Sunday, improving their record to 3-1 for the season. The Colts led by a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but the Rams scored on their final two drives to secure the victory.

Injuries have forced the Rams to make adjustments on both offense and defense. Justin Dedich surprisingly started at left guard, while Emmanuel Forbes Jr. played his fewest snaps of the season, indicating a possible demotion for the starting cornerback. Despite Tutu Atwell‘s crucial 88-yard go-ahead touchdown, his playing time has decreased over the past two games.

Jordan Whittington established himself as the Rams’ No. 3 receiver, playing a season-high 80% of the offensive snaps on Sunday. Meanwhile, Atwell’s snaps dropped to 28%, the lowest percentage of his season. Running back Kyren Williams also saw a decline in his playing time, with only 68% of snaps and a season-low of 13 rushing attempts.

At tight end, Terrance Ferguson was a healthy scratch, prompting the Rams to rely on Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen, and Colby Parkinson in a tight end committee. Higbee played 55% of the snaps, while Allen and Parkinson contributed 29% and 28%, respectively.

Switching gears in the secondary, Cobie Durant took over the CB1 spot as Forbes played just 61% of the snaps. Durant remained on the field for 77% of the game, climbing the depth chart after Forbes struggled against the Colts. Braden Fiske showed signs of recovery from an oblique injury, playing 52% of the snaps, which suggests he is getting closer to full strength.

Rookie edge rusher Josaiah Stewart is also gaining traction, playing 34% of defensive snaps on Sunday. Even with the health of Jared Verse and Byron Young, Stewart continues to earn valuable playing time.
