Reacher’ Renewed for Fourth Season on Prime Video
The popular crime thriller series ‘Reacher,’ available on Prime Video, has been officially renewed for a fourth season. This announcement comes well in advance of the third season’s premiere, which is set to take place in 2025, highlighting the streaming service’s confidence in the show’s success.
‘Reacher,’ based on the novels by author Lee Child, has garnered a considerable following, becoming one of Prime Video’s most-watched series. The second season, which premiered in December 2023, quickly rose to become the platform’s most viewed release of that year. Following this success, a spin-off series focusing on Maria Sten‘s character, Frances Neagley, is also currently in development.
Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, expressed enthusiasm about the renewal, stating, “Reacher has become a phenomenon that continues to resonate with our global customers beyond our wildest expectations and we are thrilled to bring the series back for an additional season.” Sanders attributed the show’s popularity to the “immensely talented team behind the series,” which includes showrunner Nick Santora, actor Alan Ritchson, and author Lee Child.
The third season of ‘Reacher’ will be an adaptation of ‘Persuader,’ the seventh book in Child’s Jack Reacher series. The season promises to deliver gripping storylines as the titular character, portrayed by Alan Ritchson, goes undercover to rescue an informant from a familiar adversary.
In addition to the return of Alan Ritchson, season three will feature returning cast members such as Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart, and Olivier Richters. Notably, Frances Neagley, played by Maria Sten, will appear in the season, though her character does not feature in the original novel.
‘Reacher’ is a collaborative production of Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios, with the latter having taken over production following the closure of Paramount Television Studios. Executive producers include Nick Santora, Lee Child, Alan Ritchson, Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, and Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell. Carolyn Harris and Kenny Madrid oversee the project for Skydance TV.
