Real Housewives of Atlanta Alum Porsha Williams Files for Divorce from Simon Guobadia After One Year

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams has filed for divorce from her husband, Simon Guobadia, after just one year of marriage. The court documents were submitted in Atlanta, detailing the decision.

Despite wanting to dissolve her marriage, Williams still goes by Porsha Guobadia on Instagram. The former couple, who recently celebrated Valentine’s Day in Dubai, continue to follow each other on the social media platform.

Williams, 42, and Guobadia, 59, tied the knot in an extravagant Nigerian traditional native law and custom ceremony in Atlanta back in November 2022. They then had a traditional American wedding the following day, with Williams donning a stunning white lace Frida ball gown.

The cause of their split remains undisclosed, with a source hinting at an ongoing matter as the reason for the divorce. Despite the recent divorce filing, Williams is focused on her professional endeavors.

Williams, who has been away from Bravo‘s The Real Housewives series for two years, recently announced her return for the upcoming season. In addition, she has signed an overall scripted deal with NBCUniversal, opening up opportunities for scripted projects across the company’s broadcast and streaming properties.

The Los Angeles native, a graduate of the University of Southern California, expressed gratitude for the support from NBCUniversal in expanding her role within the network. Williams first joined The Real Housewives of Atlanta in its fifth season and has remained a prominent figure in the reality TV landscape.
